Where to stay on the Central Coast

The Central Coast of NSW Australia is 90 minutes north of Sydney and midway between Sydney and Newcastle, New South Wales' two largest Cities. Travel from Sydney Airport by Car up the M1 Motorway, or take the train from the airport to Central and from there the journey will be about 90 minutes into the local city, Gosford. From here you can collect a hire car, taxi or Uber to your accommodation. From Newcastle, the Central Coast is about 1-hour drive or the same via train. From Newcastle Airport a car is the most suitable option

Famous for its laid back slower place of life compared to Sydney many locals live here and travel back to Sydney for work. It is also a popular holiday escape with world-famous beaches and National Parks.

Since Covid, in 2020, the Central Coast has been experiencing a housing market boom as many Sydneysiders move here permanently. They no longer need to rely on being close to Sydney suburbs for office work so they are taking advantage of the lifestyle offered on the Central Coast.
